Fast Forms (app.fastforms.jp) is a form and assignment tool used by teachers and their students. It is operated by Impressive Thinking, LLC (“we”). This page explains what information the service collects, why, where it is kept, and the choices you have. Questions: privacy@fastforms.jp.
Who uses Fast Forms
Fast Forms is intended for university teachers and students aged 18 or over. Teachers create forms; students answer the forms their teachers share with them.
What we collect
- Account details: your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we also receive Google’s account identifier for you. We never receive your Google or university password.
- Class membership: which classes you belong to, from a class list your teacher uploads or a class code you enter.
- Your answers: everything you enter in a form, including written answers, uploaded files, and drafts saved before you submit.
- Work information: when you first opened a form, when you submitted it, how many sessions you used, and how long you were actively working.
- Writing process: for written answers, the form can record how the text was typed and edited over time (for example typing, deletions and pasted text), so your teacher can review how the work developed. This is used to understand how students work, not to grade on its own.
- Grades and feedback that your teacher, or AI-assisted grading reviewed by your teacher, gives on your answers.
- Basic security records: sign-in sessions and a record of important actions (such as publishing a form or releasing grades).
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics.
How we use it
- To run forms and assignments, save your work, and mark quizzes.
- To let your teacher see, grade and give feedback on responses to their own forms. Teachers cannot see other teachers’ forms or responses.
- To show you your own submissions and the grades your teacher has released. You never see other students’ answers.
- To keep the service secure and working.
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
AI-assisted grading
When a teacher turns on AI grading for a question, the text of the answer and the teacher’s rubric are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to draft a score and feedback. Your teacher reviews the draft before it counts, unless the teacher has chosen automatic release for that question. Your name and email are not sent with the answer.
Who else handles the information
- Hostinger hosts the service, its database and uploaded files, and sends sign-in emails.
- Google handles the sign-in if you choose “Continue with Google”.
- Anthropic processes answer text for AI-assisted grading, when a teacher turns it on.
These providers handle the information only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Where it is stored
The service and its data are hosted on servers in the United States (Arizona). If you use Fast Forms from Japan or another country, your information is transferred to and stored in the United States, which has its own privacy rules that may differ from those where you live. We protect it with encrypted connections, restricted access, and permission checks on every request.
How long we keep it
Responses are kept as long as the teacher keeps the form. Teachers can delete individual responses or whole forms. Sign-in links expire after 20 minutes, and sign-in sessions after 30 days without use.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or ask us to stop using it, by writing to privacy@fastforms.jp. For answers to a teacher’s form, you can also ask your teacher directly. We will reply within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
